Venue - Designated beach in any location across the globe
Course duration – Five days (40 hours)
Eligibility – Participants should be 16 years of age and above, physically and medically fit and in possession of a fitness certificate. Trainees should be free from any skin diseases, physical disabilities, epilepsy, high blood pressure or heart problems.
Pre-requisites - Participants should be able to swim 300 metres non-stop. The first 100 metres should be covered using front crawl, the next 100 metres using breaststroke and the last 100 metres can include a combination of both or either strokes.
Certification criteria – On completion of the course on the day of the final evaluation the participant should be able to demonstrate the required rescue skills from a boat with equipment and should be able to complete a 100 metre swim in three minutes non-stop (using any stroke except the backstroke) and possess adequate soft skills to be declared successful.
Certificates - Successful candidates will be awarded proficiency certificates by SRTA. The certificates are for a period of two years.
